Robert Mendonza
Robert is currently a Doctoral Candidate in the Sport and Exercise Psychology program atSpringfield College. He attended California State University, Fullerton (CSUF), where he earned
both his bachelors and master’s degrees. Robert is also currently a Performance Expert working
with military service members at Ft. Irwin National Training Center.
As a Performance Expert at Ft. Irwin, Robert has had the opportunity to work with thousands of
service members in a variety of roles including Tank Crews, Helicopter Pilots, U.S. Army
Combatives Tournament, preparing service members for Special Forces Selection, Behavior
Health service members as well as working with service members who are transitioning out of
the military, all within the context of mental performance enhancement.
Robert has previously worked for the MLS Franchise New England Revolution as Mental
Performance Consultant and currently works with sport management group PIXIXI, who
recently spearheaded the first ever Talent Identification Camp in the United States alongside
professional Mexican Soccer Club Atlético San Luis. Additionally, Robert currently works with
MMA fighters, collegiate and high school wrestlers, and most notably, Robert is the Mental
Performance Consultant for boxer Alexis Rocha, who recently was ranked as the #1
welterweight boxer in the world. Robert has also worked with elite Southern California softball
club USA Athletics, All-American NCAA Wrestlers, collegiate golfers as well as high school and
middle school soccer players.
Robert is a native of Southern California and grew up in the in the city of Lakewood. As an
undergraduate student at CSUF, he discovered his passion for Sport Psychology and pursued
that passion to complete his master’s degree at CSUF and continue to attain a terminal degree
in Sport Psychology. Robert is a passionate fan of a variety of sports, and in his spare time, he
enjoys spending time with his family, playing sports, and working on improving his consulting
kraft.
